Skenfrith, with its castle and riverside walks, is 4 miles, Ross-on-Wye is 12 miles and Hereford's magnificent cathedral and interesting shopping are 18 miles. Walking in the mountains and beautiful Wye Valley, fishing, exceptional Ryder Cup golf courses, pony trekking, cycle hire and excellent canoeing (at Symond's Yat, 15 miles) are easily accessible as are Tintern Abbey, floral Usk, Raglan Castle and Big Pit mining experience. Abergavenny offers a leisure centre, theatre, weekly market, shops, pubs and restaurants. A dining pub is ½ mile.
